National Honor Flight Network - http://www.honorflight.org/

Honor Flight is a non-profit organization to honor and thank our veterans.  You will fly from Chicago Midway to Washington Dulles.  Upon arrival in Washington, you will be escorted to a tour bus and go to the WWII Memorial.  You will then travel Viet Nam and Iwo Jima Memorials.  After that, you will head back to the airport for the return trip back.  Flights fill up fast, so you will need to go onto the website to sign up and be put on a waiting list.  For more information, you can contact Honor Flight Chicago at 773-227-8387, or you can visit the website directly at www.honorflightchicago.org

The Veteran Network Committee of Northern Illinois is a local Honor Flight chapter for N. Illinois.  The committee raises funds to transport WWII veterans of McHenry County as well as other county’s to Washington D.C. to see the WWII Memorial dedicated in their Honor. It took more than 60 years for the Memorial constructed for them, and our time is waning to for our aging WWII veterans to experience their Tour of Honor.     More about Veterans Network Committee
